‘Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum’ Hosts ‘Challenges of Employing Digital Revolution in Artistic Movement’ Session

In cooperation with the Ministry of Culture:

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), in cooperation with Jordan’s Ministry of Culture, has hosted a panel session entitled ‘Challenges of Expanding Utilization of Digital Revolution and Digitalism Art in the Local Artistic Movement: Between Rejection and Acceptance’.

The session is part of a series of open art related dialogue sessions organized by the Ministry of Culture, in the fields of visual and performing arts. Such sessions aim to generally discuss the advantages, disadvantages, and impact of incorporating digital visual in art, as well as addressing the concerns and difficulties of the local art movement.

Representing HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of TAG.Global  Mr. Bader Foqaha, TAG-KF manager started the session by welcoming the speakers and attendees. Heemphasized that TAG-KF, in line with the vision of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, will continue to play an active role in serving the community as an open platform for dialogue and efficient discussion in different fields and sectors, to raise youth awareness and culture in various topics that impact their future.

The session hosted Prof. Mazen Asfour, an associate professor in the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Jordan, and Dr. Mohammad Mousa, acting head of the Design and Visual Communication Department at the American University of Madaba, who is specialized in the fields of multimedia and contemporary digital uses at the University.

During the meeting, several key topics related to the spread of using and employing digital means in the Art, its production and presentation were reviewed and analyzed, along with the effects of digital revolution on artistic product in terms of content and form. That is in addition to urging for finding approaches for reconciliation between supporters of digital art and its virtual worlds, and those who advocate for traditional art.

It is worth mentioning that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF) constantly holds awareness and education sessions on various topics aimed at spreading knowledge to achieve the highest levels of youth protection, based on Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s belief in the power and abilities of the youth.
