Abu-Ghazaleh and Lebanon’s Minister of Culture Discuss Latest Developments of Digital Transformation Project in Lebanon
BEIRUT –The Lebanese Minister of Culture, HE Judge Mohammad Al-Mortada, has received at the National Library at the Ministry of Culture HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), to discuss the latest developments in implementing the digital transformation strategy in Lebanon.
During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh outlined the executive steps and the meetings he held with H.E. Prime Minister Najib Mikati and the other Lebanese government officials in order to achieve the Digital Transformation Strategy adopted by the government.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh briefed the Minister on the ‘TAGEPEDIA Digital Learning’ Project as an integrated and parallel system to traditional education, which he already submitted to Mr. Mikati and the Minister of Education and Higher Education to become the best solution to all the challenges facing the education sector in Lebanon. He further pointed out that the success of this project in Lebanon requires three essential elements to be carried out: digital software, communication tools, and internet line.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also affirmed TAG.Global’s willingness to provide the necessary digital programs and training courses for the Project, as well as establishing a factory for modern technological devices in Lebanon to make available the required digital tools, in addition to providing all TAG Knowledge Stations with a free internet access at his own expense.
For his part, Minister Al-Mortada praised the efforts led by Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh in serving the culture and education sector in Lebanon, stressing the Ministry's readiness to provide all necessary support for the success of these efforts and to implement the digital transformation plan as soon as possible.
