‘Abu-Ghazaleh Global’ Signs Agreement, Inaugurates Knowledge Station at General Secretariat of Catholic Schools in Lebanon

BEIRUT – During the recent of Dr. Talal Abu Ghazaleh to Lebanon, (TAG.Global) has signed with  the Secétariat Général des Ecoles Catoliques au Liban (General Secretariat of Catholic Schools) in Lebanon an agreement to cooperate in various areas. On the same occasion, a TAG Knowledge Station was inaugurated in the presence of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh. TAG.Global founder and chairman, and HE Archbishop Hanna Rahma, chairman of the Episcopal Committee for Catholic Schools in Lebanon.

The cooperation agreement and the opening of the Station fall within the role TAG.Global plays in supporting various institutions to keep pace with digital transformation and technological development, especially in the education field.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Burhan Al Ashkar, representative of  Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for culture and media in Lebanon, and Father Youssef Nasr, general secretary of Catholic Schools.

During the signing ceremony, Father Nasr emphasized the Catholic Schools historical dimension, their mission and vision in keeping abreast of the latest educational development, praising TAG.Global’s role in the field of digital transformation; in addition to the opening the first Knowledge Station at the General Secretariat Center as part of a series of knowledge stations that will be inaugurated at the Catholic Schools successively to serve their students.

For his part, Archbishop Rahma pointed to the importance of digital transformation globally and for the future of the next generations. He further talked about Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s life journey, which was characterized by his extraordinary and tireless efforts.

For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh spoke about some parts of his life journey, emphasizing the significant role the Christian Schools played during his childhood. He also expressed his delight with the launch of the first TAG Knowledge Station in the Schools.

Concerning the education crisis in Lebanon, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh submitted a proposal to overcome the crisis by launching a new digital education system starting next year, marking digital transformation as an essential part of the system.

In the same context, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that education will quickly  shift into digital learning, as the means of education changed and the demand for information and communication technology became imperative, stressing the need to teach this technology to students starting from the first levels of the education process.
