Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Discuss Cooperation in Digital Transformation With Syrian Minister of Oil

DAMASCUS – Syria’s Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, HE Mr. Bassam Tohme, received HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) at the Ministry where they discussed cooperation in the area of digital transformation services. 

The meeting also tackled the importance of using alternative energy sources, and the mechanism of calculating economic losses and benefits as a result of the war, Syria has been faced with for an entire decade. That is in addition to the mechanism of calculating accumulated losses due to missed opportunities in order to safeguard Syria’s rights and the rights of the Syrian people.

For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that digital transformation is the future and the optimum tool to counter Syria's challenges, pointing to TAG.Global’s readiness to provide digital transformation services to the Ministry.

He, furthermore, underlined the need to move towards ‘necessary development’ rather than ‘sustainable development’, stressing TAG.Global’s eagerness to cooperate with the Ministry in several areas including digital transformation, e-archiving and auditing.

It is worth mentioning that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) has been operating in Syria through its office in Damascus since its establishment in 1976.
