EdTech Syndicate of Lebanon Launches ‘Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Annual Award for Innovation’
BEIRUT – Under the banner: ‘Innovate, in Order not to Perish’, the EdTech Syndicate of Lebanon, jointly with the Middle East and North Africa Alliance for Educational Technology (MENA EdTech Alliance), has announced the launch of the ‘Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Annual Award for Innovation’ to support Arab innovation and creativity in all fields.
The Syndicate affirmed that launching the Award in the name of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), is an assertion of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s position, at both the Arab and international levels, being one of the world's top innovation and knowledge advocates, as well as being the founder of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI); the first University College of its kind specialized in graduating innovators.
The Syndicate further explained that the Award will be based on international standards and successful innovative practices locally and regionally, and that it aims to motivate the youth to unleash their innovative potentials and create a competitive environment that sharpens their skills and abilities in all fields.
The announcement has made it clear tat the door is open for all individuals and all institutions to apply for this award; and that they can submit their applications electronically in Arabic or English through the Syndicate's official website.
Consequently, winners will be selected through a jury selected by the Syndicate, which will include experts from TAG.Global and professors from TAGAUCI, in addition to a number of members of the Syndicate and the MENA EdTech Alliance. That is in partnership with prestigious Arab and international institutions involved in the evaluation of innovative projects.
