Abu-Ghazaleh Receives Representative of Libya’s National Planning Council
AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), received in his office the representative of the Libyan National Planning Council, Dr. Abu Baker Al-Mabrouk Al-Mansouri, to discuss cooperation in training and consulting fields in support of the Libyan market.
During the meeting, several topics were addressed, relating to the provision of the Libyan market with the required services to keep pace with the new global developments such as digital transformation and management development, in addition to new technologies including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automated Systems (Robots).
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that he had previously called for taking prompt action to encourage e-technological transformation especially since the world is rapidly embracing new technologies, pointing out that TAG.Global launched an e-training platform to disseminate digital education as well as to keep abreast of the changes imposed by the changing circumstances, most notably the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also emphasized the importance of sharpening the human resources capacities through shifting from teaching to learning, stressing the importance of supporting innovation and creativity in knowledge and information technology.
He underlined the need to form effective educational committees in light of current challenges, especially in view of the repercussions of COVID-19 which directly affected the education sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh called for adopting innovation, monitoring and control of quality assurance standards in education to support the process of quality and accreditation in order to achieve distinctive educational outcomes that positively reflect on students and society.
In his capacity as the chairman of Arab Society for Certified Accountants, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stressed the need of applying the International Public Sector Accounting Standards as one of the most important economic reform tools to measure and monitor government performance.
It is important to note that Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh has previously offered several grants and scholarships to accountants in countries that experienced difficult circumstances such as Palestine and Libya; in order to acquire professional qualifications including the International Arab Certified Public Accountant (IACPA) certificate which was developed in line with the curriculum of the Certified International Professional Accounting; and it was accredited by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, with the participation of experts from the International Arab Society of Certified Accountants (IASCA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), among others.
For his part, Dr. Al-Mansouri highly praised the good reputation of TAG.Global around the world, commending the comprehensiveness and professionalism of its services which would contribute to raising the level of services in the Libyan market. He went on to say that TAG.Global plays a vital role at this phase in providing the Libyan market with the necessary services and expertise in the areas of capacity building, education and intellectual property.
It is worth mentioning that the Libyan National Planning Council which is affiliated to the Libyan House of Representatives is specialized in preparing studies that outline the objectives, policies and strategies of economic and social development, as well as the improvement of natural, human and financial resources to invest and maximize their benefit.
