Family Business Governance Center and Jordan Institute of Directors Sign MoU

According to the agreement, the two parties will cooperate in business opportunities in the field of Family Businesses by establishing a joint team for identifying and considering jointly undertaking future business opportunities and raising awareness on the work of family business in addition to promoting a program for family businesses; primarily "Certified Board of Directors" Program

AMMAN----October 10, 2013----- The Family Business Governance Center (FBGC) and Jordan Institute of Directors (JIoD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of family businesses in a special ceremony held at Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property headquarters.

According to the agreement signed by Ms. Sarah Diken, FBGC Officer and Ms. Maali Khader, Founder and Executive Director of Jordan Institute of Directors, the two parties will cooperate in supporting family businesses by helping them ensure their sustainability through raising their awareness on governance related issues through several programs in addition to promoting a program specifically tailored for family businesses; primarily "Certified Board of Directors" Program.

Ms. Diken stated: "We are really excited to start implementing the terms of this MoU as we believe that there are many opportunities for both parties. The FBGC is proud to join hands with one of the most reputable institutes in the Kingdom that share our vision and aspiration for a better future based on the directives of Mr. Luay Abu-Ghazaleh, FBGC founder."

Meanwhile, Ms. Khader said: "It is a pleasure to cooperate towards the same vision of a better future in the field of family business. We are ready to explore more through this MoU immediately. We would like to thank FBGC for giving us the opportunity to be part of this initiative."
