Abu-Ghazaleh: The world is in chaos, we hope it will end soon with A New World Order

During his participation digitally in ALF annual meeting

AMMAN - The Australian Lebanese Foundation (ALF) has organized its annual meeting, for the Lebanese community in Australia, at the University of Sydney, with the digital participation of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), , in addition to a host of prominent global and Arab figures to discuss the challenges the world is going through regarding environment, health, and trade.

In his statement, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh warned that the world is in a state of chaos; with no world order, no power or legitimacy governing it, but he expressed his hope that this chaos will soon shortly.

He went on to say that although the United States has been the world's leading power for almost a century, it faces today a threat posed by China which believes that it has the right to join the world leadership.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh further pointed out that since no superpower can lead the globe in everything, it is necessary to create a new world order or a standard that would be implemented fairly and harmoniously throughout the world. He pointed out that the current status state of affairs has paralyzed the international organizations to a point where they became completely ineffective and unable to make any decisions.

Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh referred to his endless efforts to address these challenges and to provide some kind of a solution to settle the deep and serious disputes between the two powers, but those efforts have lead to nowhere.

According to Abu-Ghazaleh, the solution requires that the two superpowers sit together and try to reach to a formula of a New World Order, emphasizing that the world does not only needs a  new administration; a new set of rules and regulations to activate the international system.

On the sideline of the meeting, a number of high-ranking personalities, participants and students from the Lebanese community were honored.
