AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), signed an agreement with Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG) for establishing a factory for manufacturing TAGTech smart devices including laptops, tablets, and smartphones at Queen Alia International Airport Free Zone.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of TAG.Global, and HE Mr. Khalaf Hmeisat, chairman of JFDZG.

At ceremony, HE Mr. Abdul Hamid Gharaibeh, JFDZG Director General, affirmed the importance of this investment, considering that it is to be conducted by a national company that provides technological products; the first of their kind in the Kingdom and even the region. At the same time, he hailed the job opportunities the project will generate and pledged JFDZG’s continuous support  for this investment which would positively impact the country’s economy as well as local development.

Gharaibeh also said: “We, at JFDZG, always encourage domestic and foreign investment in Jordan with a special focus on technology industry as global demand and export opportunities for this industry have significantly increased”.

For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his unwavering commitment to serving the country through ongoing development of Jordan’s technological products, declaring his confidence in Jordan’s Knowledge Future in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed that TAG.Global’s factory, the first technological factory that manufactures smart devices in Jordan, would soon be operational. He also mentioned that the factory’s labor force; estimated to reach 100 technicians, would become a model for the Jordanian well-trained and skilled workers, noting that a specialized training program for them would be developed. He also revealed that the factory’s production is expected to start before the end of this year.

It is worth mentioning that the selection of Queen Alia International Airport Free Zone as location for  TAGTech factory is attributed to the advantages and facilities the Zone offers to investors.
The factory will be established on two plots of land to construct two separate buildings; the first will be a commercial facility to directly store incoming and outgoing products, while the second will include an industrial building which will be equipped with integrated production lines to start national domestic production.

It should be noted that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technology (TAGTech), established two years ago, is specialized in developing, designing, manufacturing and producing technological devices such as laptops, tablets and smart devices with high specifications at competitive and affordable prices for all. In addition, TAGTech developed its customization in manufacturing strategy to manufacture products according to customer requirement technical specifications.
