During AROQA’s 12th Annual Conference in KSA Abu-Ghazaleh Launches Updated School and University Accreditation Standards
AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA), will be launching the updated standards for school and university accreditation during the Organization’s 12th annual conference to be held in Jeddah, KSA, next November.
AROQA has been relentlessly updating university and school accreditation in line with the Organization’s mission, vision and objectives that aim at improving quality of education in the Arab world, and keeping pace with the requirements of the New Era which necessitates updated standards for online learning, remote learning requirements, Artificial Intelligence, empowering students and teachers for innovation, skills for entrepreneurial projects, institutional effectiveness by management of effective and strategic planning processes, governance and quality control, in addition to curriculum planning, in order to achieve high-quality educational outcomes.
AROQA Executive Director, Mr. Yaser Al Nadi, indicated that this is not the first standards update, noting that all indicators and standards are subject to ongoing improvement and review to match global educational and knowledge advancements; in ways that positively impact educational systems and outputs, taking into consideration the vision and guidance of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, AROQA chairman, in improving quality education and services.
Al Nadi revealed that standards and indicators that were subject to updates include scientific research, e-education, remote learning, community service, external cooperation, and enhancement of university’s academic standing and position locally, regionally and globally.
