‘Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge’ Concludes Programming Training Course for Girls in Irbid Camp

IRBID – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Center (TAG- Knowledge), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), concluded Programming Training Course for girls in Irbid camp.

The training course was jointly organized  with  Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation (AHSF), Code Circle; an educational company that empowers new generations through programs that strengthen coding, entrepreneurship, and creative skills in children, and Hidayah for Societal Training.

The training course comes within the framework of implementing a previously signed cooperation agreement between TAG.Global and Code Circle to launch a specialized programming initiative in developing Android applications using (MIT App Inventor) program for girls aged between 14-16 years from the public schools and the local community.

Certificates of Attendance were given to participants in the presence of Dr. Barakat Al-Shonnaq, Irbid deputy governor, Mr. Zaid Al Majali, TAG-Knowledge Center executive director, Ms. Ruba Asfour, executive director of Code Circle and Mr. Naser Abu Rashid, Hidayah for Societal Training general manager.

During the ceremony, Dr. Al-Shonnaq expressed his pride in the cooperation between the different parties in a mechanism that serves the participating Camp’s girls to develop their skills.

Furthermore, Al Majali affirmed that this cooperation comes as a part of TAG-Knowledge Center’s willingness to serve local community as well as developing youth skills, expressing the readiness of TAG.Global for further cooperation by providing various training courses for Jordanian youth to qualify and develop their skills so that they can successfully compete in the labor market.

It is worth mentioning that the ‘Teaching Programing for Girls’ course will be carried out at all Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Stations in all governorates throughout the Kingdom, whereas Jerash Governorate (Gaza Refugee Camp) was selected as a launching point for this initiative, and Irbid governorate will be in the second phase.
