Abu-Ghazaleh Chairs RDCL World Board of Trustees Meeting
AMMAN - The Association of Lebanese Business People in the World (RDCL World) held a virtual meeting for the Board of Trustees headed by Board Chairman HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and founder of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global).
During the meeting, that was moderated by Association President Dr. Fouad Zmokhol, the participants discussed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s proposal which provides for developing a plan and program of action to achieve self-sufficiency in Lebanon as an alternative to relying on foreign assistance, aid or donations and loans.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh had stressed that the objective of his proposal is to establish a self-sufficient industrial country, considering that 95% of all imports to Lebanon could be produced internally. He clarified that the road to self-sufficiency should start in the food sector through agriculture, which would help Lebanon overcome challenges and create job opportunities for the citizens.
Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh drew attention to the US presidential election, and its impact on the world economy, noting that America will never be the same again even if President Joe Biden took over as US President.
Meanwhile, the participants discussed the destiny of the Arab region in new of the prevailing political and economic conflicts, in addition to the destiny of America if the civil war never occurred.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Zmokhol expressed gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for chairing the meeting and submitting suggestions that serve the Lebanese economy and called for holding more meetings.
