Abu-Ghazaleh Presents Laptops to Lebanon’s IP Protection Directorate as Gifts
BEIRUT - Within the framework of continuous support offered to Lebanon’s national economy, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and founder of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), announced the provision of a number of the latest versions of laptops to the Intellectual Property Protection Directorate (IPPD) at the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Lebanon, as a gift to help compensate the damage caused by the deadly Beirut Harbor blast.
Executive Director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for Technologies (TAGTech) in Lebanon Mr. Burhan Al Ashkar, who handed over the devices to the Directorate, affirmed the keenness of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh to put all the resources of TAG.Global at the service of the Lebanese state by presenting all required technological and knowledge support to the various public entities during the current circumstances that require joined efforts to move from crisis to recovery.
Al Ashkar reiterated TAG.Global’s readiness to support the Ministry with the data and documents missing and destroyed following the blast through TAG.Global’s own archive, similar to what it did back in 1991 during the Civil War in Lebanon when TAG.Global provided the Ministry of Economy with the complete archive that was burnt during war.
For his part, IPPD Manger Mr. Wesam Al-Ameel expressed his gratitude and appreciation to HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for the generous gesture, noting that TAG.Global is at the forefront of respondents to the Ministry’s call for help, and has become the first company from the private sector to take this move.
“This initiative from Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh reflects his constant willingness to support all sectors in the country. His love for Lebanon and confidence in the Lebanese economy that will emerge once again from underneath the wreckage as Lebanon did repeatedly, is unshakeable, he added.
