Abu-Ghazaleh: US President Donald Trump serve a Second Presidential Term

AMMAN – Arab Economic expert and businessman, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), expected the likelihood that US President Donald Trump  will win a second presidential term.

In a new episode of the weekly program (World to Where? with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh) aired on Russia Today (RT), Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh talked about the upcoming US presidential election which is scheduled for November 3, 2020. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh said that: “The next election will be distinctive and different form previous ones; as voting will be by mail,’ pointing out that voting by mail is rejected by President Trump who believes that ‘the ballots will be stolen out of mailboxes.’ 

Concerning U.S. foreign policy of the United Stated in the upcoming period, Abu Ghazaleh ruled out any radical future changes in case Trump wins or loses the 2020 election. He said that the US stance on major political issues remains unchangeable, referring to the US embargo on Cuba which lasted for years due to a particular policy as an example. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also said that the situation with respect to US support to Israel will remain unchanged, whether Trump stays or leaves the White House.

During the program, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh noted that President Trump has various influential tools to impact the American voters such as China and Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The President insists that: ‘Beijing is behind the outbreak of COVID-19’. 

In this regard, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that the US has 5% of the world’s population but a quarter of its coronavirus death toll (more than 130 thousand Americans died due to COVID-19); this fact would become a powerful weapon in Trump’s hand to criticize and attack China in his election campaign.

Accordingly, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh predicted that: "Trump will declare a war on China as a way out of the complicated coronavirus and economic situation in the United States."
