The International Business Forum (Turkey) Hosts Abu-Ghazaleh at a Virtual Dialogue Session

AMMAN - The Turkey-based International Business Forum (IBF) hosted HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), in a digital virtual dialogue to discuss various issues, mainly the post- Coronavirus (COVID-19) era and the future of education.

During the session moderated by Mr. Mohammad Ghazal, the Forum’s representative, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that “Corona is just an additional complication to this year’s crises that poured fuel on the flame of the global economic crisis.” He pointed out that the media has overstated the Coronavirus pandemic issue that actually resulted in some companies taking advantage of it to make huge profits.

Meanwhile, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh tackled various other global concerns including the conflict between the US and China as well as the currency war between the two countries, saying that the US will find itself compelled to use the digital currency, expecting a war between the two superpowers that will end with a joint agreement and the creation of a new World Order.

For the Arab region, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh urged every individual to develop his/her knowledge skills, indicating that all jobs in the future would require cognitive and digital abilities.

Accordingly, he referred to ‘Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI)’ as the best example that affirms his belief, saying that ‘the University College is unique in its concept which is based on the fact that a student could only be graduated if he/she creates an invention.’ He added that the youth should learn to create and to innovate not just to obtain a diploma.

Regarding his position towards Palestine, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh reaffirmed that Palestine means the whole of Palestine that extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River, and Jerusalem means all of Jerusalem.

It is worth mentioning that the International Business Forum (IBF) is an economic gathering established in 1995, that includes in its membership more than 50 economic associations from different Arab and Islamic countries with over 20,000 members. Based in Turkey, the Forum aims to strengthen relations and develop business activities across the region and among businessmen, their associations and organizations in a mechanism to achieve public interest of the economy locally and globally as well as to maximize the role of businessmen and their countries in achieving economic integration.
