TAGUCI and Queen’s UK-Based University to Implement Joint Programs

AMMAN – Dean of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI), Dr. Montaha Bani Hani, received a delegation from Queen’s University Belfast, headed by the Dean of  theGraduate School, Prof. Margaret Topping, in  continuation of mutual visits between the two educational institutions to discuss ways of further consolidation of cooperation.

During the meeting, the two parties agreed on implementing a number of joint programs including the “Social Innovation Challenge” project which will be a joint venture executed by students of the two universities. The joint programs are developed in a mechanism that drives students to use innovative methods that ultimately help to find innovative solutions for problems and obstacles that affect society development.

Additionally, these programs aim at introducing students to concepts of Design Thinking Methodologies, Business Planning and ‘Pitch for Investment’ to enhance their skills and build their capabilities enabling them to initiate their own projects and startups in the future.

It’s expected that such programs and projects will lead to the establishment of emerging enterprises that innovate services and goods and make recommendations for decision makers to improve the performance of  society.

It’s noteworthy to mention that TAGUCI is a University College specialized in business and information technology. It focuses on providing the appropriate environment for creativity and innovation through modern learning methods while granting students the potential to transform their ideas and inventions into marketable products.
