TAG- Knowledge and JPA Sign MoU

AMMAN ---- July 17, 2013 ---- Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG- Knowledge) and Jordan Pharmaceuticals Association (JPA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote their cooperation in the field of training activities and services.

The Memorandum was signed at the headquarters of the JPA by Mr. Tariq Hammad, the executive director of TAG- Knowledge, and Dr. Mohammad Ababneh, president of JPA.

Dr. Ababneh highly appraised the major role played by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) in all fields of economy, education, and knowledge. “Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization is one of the essential resources for state institutions and we are proud of our collaborative relation with it because it is an organization that assumed a prestigious standing, nationally and internationally,” Dr. Ababneh said.

On his part, Mr. Hammad affirmed the significant role of JPA in serving the local community ad providing facilities to its members. He said “We constantly seek, under the direction of HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, to promote the cooperation with the leading institutions in Jordan including the JPA. The MoU complements TAG- Knowledge role in shouldering its social responsibility by rendering specialized courses and training to the members of the Association in all fields of knowledge, including IT skills.

About the Jordan Pharmaceuticals Association Jordan

Pharmaceuticals Association was established in 1957 in accordance with Jordanian Pharmaceuticals Law No. 10 of 1957, published in edition No. 1323 of the Official Gazette issued on March 17, 1957.
It is a Jordanian professional association, whose membership includes 10890 pharmacists (up to January 2009). They comprise the total number of pharmacists in Jordan because membership is mandatory and no pharmacist can practice this profession without the membership of JPA.
Jordan contains 2057 pharmacies, 359 pharmaceutical stores and 17pharmaceutical manufacturers.
