ASCA Announces ACPA November 2012 Course Results

A total of 297 students applied for the examinations from all around the Arab world

AMMAN ------ April 16, 2013------- The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) announced the results of the “Arab Certified Public Accountant (ACPA)” examinations for the November 2012 course.


A total of 297 students applied for the examinations from all around the Arab world.
 
ASCA Manager, Mr. Salem Al-Ouri said "the number of students who passed the ACPA examinations successfully is 80 and the success rate is 23%."

He also indicated that the process of correcting the papers was completed under the supervision of a committee from the Cambridge International Examinations which also took on the role of validating the results before announcement.
 
ACPA examinations are held every year in November in around 30 centers all around the Arab world.

ACPA qualification earned the acknowledgment and accreditation of several Arab countries; Jordan, UAE, Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Qatar, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon and Sultanate of Oman. ASCA has been listed as one of the professional accredited associations for auditing, and the certificate was validated for the purposes of licensing the practice of certified accounting.

ASCA has electronically issued the latest updated version of ACPA curriculum for the first time, which came after making some adjustments on the examination system. ASCA took the initiative of changing the curriculum to meet the highest and best international standards, therefore it was prepared and thoroughly reviewed by a group of elite Arab and foreigner professionals and academics.


ASCA is undergoing the procedures of adding “international” to its name to become “the International Arab Society of Certified Accountants” in order to reflect its global position and the international services it provides.
 
The Arab Society of Certified Accountants was founded as a non-profit professional accounting association in London, UK. It was formally registered in Amman on February 24, 1994. ASCA aims at advancing the profession of accounting, auditing and other related disciplines in the countries of the Arab League.

ASCA also aims at maintaining the professional independence of Arab accountants and their protection, as well as the application of professional supervisory measures as a way to elevate the professions of accounting and auditing. It also aims at developing and facilitating the continuous spread and exchange of professional and technical information among accountants and professionals.
